Introduction of the University’s Capacities and Activities

At the beginning of this meeting, Dr. Parsa, while introducing the accompanying staff, provided a brief overview of the current status of the university, its existing potentials in scientific and cultural fields, and the university’s effective role-playing in cultural and religious events across the province.

Emphasis on Supporting Young Talents and Art

Subsequently, Hojjatoleslam wal-Muslemin Shahrestani, while expressing pleasure at getting acquainted with the members of the university delegation, discussed the country’s potential and the brilliant talents of its youth. Referring to the remarkable success of the nation’s scientific Olympiad winners at the international level, he described this land as being full of diverse talents in all fields, including physics and mathematics, and expressed concern that, unfortunately, these capacities are not being properly utilized.

In the concluding part of his speech, the Representative of Ayatollah Sistani referred to the academics as national assets and emphasized the importance of the status of art and artists:

” ‘Value yourselves; you are the country’s assets. Each one of you, in the field of art, can take great steps in society… It is our youth who possess creativity and innovation; the future of the country lies with people like you. Encourage and support young people and artists… We, for our part, appreciate your efforts (University of Art and Islamic Thought).’ “
